Mr Mark Duxbury

Mark Duxbury is a Consultant Surgeon based in Glasgow. Gallbladder surgeon

His specialist interests are diseases of the liver, pancreas, biliary tree and gallbladder.

He also has expertise in laparoscopic and complex hernia surgery.

He specialises in medicolegal work relating to General Surgery, as well as specialist liver and pancreatic surgery.

He is vetted UK Register of Expert Witnesses expert, a 1st tier APIL expert and a member of the Expert Witness Institute. He has completed formal medicolegal training, including Part 1 of the Certificate of Medical Reporting (CertMR). Defendant, Claimant and Single Joint Expert instructions are accepted. Client interviews and examination can be arranged.

Mr Duxbury's specialist clinical interest is surgery of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder and biliary tree. He looks after patients with benign and malignant disease. During my consultant career, my clinical activities have included laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bile duct exploration, splenectomy, laparoscopic liver and pancreatic surgery and management of complex biliary injuries. He completed training in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). In addition, he undertakes emergency general surgery and day case surgery, including hernia repair procedures.
